Airline Pilot

 
Being an airline pilot carries a lot of responsibility; the training and education for this position is very important and helps prepare you for managing these large methods of transportation. Some pilots learn to fly in the military; however, civilians learn to fly at civilian flight schools.
 
A commercial license is also important. According to the BLS, the median salary for this position is $92,060. Moving forward there is expected to be an 11% increase in pilot positions over the next 5-7 years.
 

Aerospace Project Engineer

 
An aerospace project engineer must understand aerospace engineering and be able to manage projects as well. The project engineer may handle the project budget, organization of the team, work flow, and hiring staff. Aerospace engineers have a median salary of $97,480; the project engineer may earn between $53,000 up to $125,000 a year, according to PayScale.com.
 

Air Traffic Controller

 
Air traffic controllers work in control towers managing the movement of passenger planes or other aircraft to keep them safely apart. This job can be stressful and requires a significant amount of on-the-job training. The median salary for this job is $108,040per year.
 

Aircraft Maintenance Manager

 
The aircraft maintenance manager oversees all of the repairs, service, and maintenance of all aircraft at a specific location or locations. This position requires knowledge of FAA regulations and standards. To be eligible for this job, you have to have a bachelor’s degree as well as at least seven years of experience; the manager also has to have an aircraft and engine mechanic license. The median salary for this position is $101,251 per year as noted by Salary.com.
 

Air Marshal

 
If you are interested in law and order and enjoy flying, you could look for a job as an air marshal. You would protect the plane, passengers, and crew against threats but unlike other types of law enforcement officers, you would do so without back up. The average salary for this job is $78,869.
